Floor Assembler operates and maintains stations to assemble, align, and adjust fabricated parts, components, or units according to specifications and follows established manufacturing procedures. Uses hand tools, power tools, and other manufacturing assembly line equipment to assemble units. Being an Floor Assembler tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to ensure all components meet tolerances, product specifications, and quality standards. May repair or refit parts or units that fail tests or tolerance levels. Additionally, Floor Assembler keeps daily assembly production records. Maintains a clean and organized work environment. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Floor Assembler works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. TOPS has partnered with a growing medical manufacturing company located in the Cranberry, PA area to find experienced assembly / production workers to add to their growing first shift operations.
All positions will involve working in a clean room environment, which does require wearing some special PPE and there are some restrictions on cosmetic and fragrances an employee can wear while working in this room.
In this position your primary duty will be doing basic assembly and packaging of medical devices. Job Details : Daylight shift : 6am to 4 : 30pm Monday to Thursday (10hr shifts) / Friday is used for overtime which is regularly available and some times mandated, a typical Friday would be from 6am to noon.
Pay rate : $16hr to start performance bonus incentive. company does offer a progression plan to move up with in the organization.
Bonus incentive : Currently our client is offering a performance bonus incentive which starts at $1per hour and then once your fully trained will increase to $2 per hour worked, this incentive is paid out weekly.
Duties / Responsibilities : Small part assembly of medical / surgical devices inside a clean room environment. Slide line assembly Must be able to work as part of a team Gown up and Gown down PPE.
Adhere to cleanroom procedures including personal attire and gowning requirements Ability to work in a fast-paced environment understand and follow procedures related to material handling such as lot control, line clearance, and requisition forms Quality control, inspection of in process or finished products Basic computer and documentation skills Education and Experience : High school diploma or GED equivalent Prior assembly experience in a production environment Clean room experience is a plus but not required Ability to work from assembly instructions or prints is a plus willing to train on the job if needed.
Must be able to learn and retain information about different product lines we manufacture. Physical Requirements : This is a slide line assembly position, most jobs have the ability to be performed seated for the majority of the work day.
