Summit Veterinary Referral Center is hiring Speciality and ER / ICU Floor Supervisors for multiple departments.

Job Summary :

Our facility is seeking highly organized and motivated Speciality and ER / ICU Floor Supervisors to oversee the daily operations of our departments.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising and training nursing staff, assisting with high level procedures, and delivering high-quality patient care.

Qualifications :

• Experience in specialty medicine preferred, but we are willing to train the right person
• Prior experience in veterinary leadership required
• Current WA state veterinary technician license, preferred
• Ability to think critically and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Great communication skills
• Must be dependable, self-motivated individual who can prioritize tasks in a high stress, fast-paced environment.
• Must have excellent communication skills with the department managers, doctors, and other support staff in order to perform the work as delegated and produce quality results.
• Portray a positive role model for all employees; keeps the environment focused and calm; especially during high stress moments

Responsibilities :

• Anesthetic monitoring, performing radiographs, scrub assisting, OR circulation, patient recovery, husbandry tasks and keeping detailed patient records.
• Assists in making training protocols and training material
• Trains and mentors new support staff
• Maintains communication with the management team and assists them in employee oversight
• Ensures duties are completed satisfactorily by the conclusion of their delegated shift
• Ensures specialty protocols are followed
• Assists the management team in daily floor responsibilities and coverage; proactively plans for the day accordingly
• Be able to diffuse any problematic situations and address them to the department managers appropriately.

Availability :

• 10 hour shifts 4 times per week
• Flexible availability, hospital is open 7 days a week and 24 hours a day.
• 1 scheduled weekend shift per week required

Benefits :

• Hourly pay range- $24.00 - $35.00 depending on experience
• Shift differential for any shift hours worked within 6p-6am $3 / hr Mon-Thurs and $5 / hr Fri-Sun
