CAP Fixtures is a family-owned, industry leader in the design and manufacturing of retail store fixtures and displays. We are currently seeking a First Shift Cabinet Assembly Supervisor to join our production management team.
The Cabinet Assembly Supervisor is responsible for planning, supervising, and assigning the work of employees engaged in key areas of our production process, including assembly, lamination, and solid surface fabrication. An ideal candidate will:
· Have previous experience in carpentry, cabinet-building, cabinet installation, or similar functions;
· Have a working knowledge of reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings;
· Be proficient with common woodworking and assembly hardware, tools and techniques;
· Be an effective communicator and supervisor;
· Have the flexibility to work OT, including weekends, when production demands require it.
Production Supervisor Responsibilities:
· Supervises and coordinates activities of a staff of 8 – 12 employees engaged in assembly, lamination and countertop/solid surface fabrication;
· Assists in the planning and layout of assigned work areas;
· Develops product knowledge and monitors quality of finished product prior to shipment; follows established procedures for correcting defects;
· Follows established company procedures as they relate to manufacturing, personnel administration, and safety;
· Interfaces with management and other areas of production to ensure quality standards and timelines are met;
· Maintains workflow and organization of work areas in a manner consistent with productivity, efficiency, quality and safety;
· Continuously assesses department for improvement opportunities;
· Participates in various aspects of the personnel process, including performance evaluation, training, occupational safety, compliance, employee discipline and new hire selection;
· Utilizes ERP system and other office technologies effectively.
Requirements:
· High school diploma or GED;
· Two years previous experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a cabinetry/carpentry/fixturing environment;
· Proficiency with reading blueprints/drawing;
· Significant experience with common assembly tools and techniques, preferably in a woodworking or cabinetry-related environment
· Strong interpersonal skills and written communication skills
· Basic computer proficiency
· Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage tasks to a deadline;
· Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Pay: $25.00 - $27.50 per hour
