Floor Assembly Supervisor jobs in Louisville, KY
Floor Assembly Supervisor supervises a manufacturing production line that assembles fabricated parts. Creates daily work schedules, follows standard manufacturing procedures, and monitors work to meet product specifications and production targets. Being an Floor Assembly Supervisor resolves production problems and answers workers' questions about processes, methods, or equipment. Delivers training for new processes or equipment and onboard new employees. Additionally, Floor Assembly Supervisor conducts quality testing on completed assemblies to validate tolerances and product specifications. Reviews daily assembly production records to identify trends or potential performance issues. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a manager. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of the team processes. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

Job Responsibilities
- Directs the activities of a recognized manufacturing department.
- Operates from a wide scope of responsibility to maintain production schedules and to ensure quality standards are adhered to by group.
- Plans work, makes assignments and trains new employees.
- Administers company policies for assigned department.
- Assesses and troubleshoots machine problems.
- Communicates with all levels of management, including Japanese staff.
- Presents materials / information to groups.
- Conducts root cause analysis of customer problems and defect reduction.
- Documents departmental productivity and defects, and takes corrective action when needed.
- Motivates employees and resolves conflict.
- Evaluates employee's performance.
