Floor Assembly Supervisor jobs in Middlesex, NJ
Floor Assembly Supervisor supervises a manufacturing production line that assembles fabricated parts. Creates daily work schedules, follows standard manufacturing procedures, and monitors work to meet product specifications and production targets. Being an Floor Assembly Supervisor resolves production problems and answers workers' questions about processes, methods, or equipment. Delivers training for new processes or equipment and onboard new employees. Additionally, Floor Assembly Supervisor conducts quality testing on completed assemblies to validate tolerances and product specifications. Reviews daily assembly production records to identify trends or potential performance issues. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a manager. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of the team processes. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

We are looking for an experienced Shipping Lead/ Assistant Supervisor to help manage daily shipping and distribution operations. You must be comfortable with paperwork and information systems and have great knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures. Responsibilities
- Use software to track, check, prioritize and route orders
- Manage all important documents such as advanced shipping notice, pick slips, bills of lading etc.
- Direct the flow of packages from preparation to shipment
- Inspect labels, barcodes and other features of completed orders
- Supervise and lead subordinates (receiving clerks, order pickers etc.)
- Control budget of the shipping department
- Collaborate with warehouse, and other managers to optimize processes
- Resolve issues regarding shipped orders
- Ensure compliance to legal regulations and company policies
- Report to management on activities and issues
Skills
- Proven experience as shipping Lead
- Solid knowledge of logistics procedures
- Computer savvy with excellent knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel)
- Good understanding of budgeting and reporting
- Experience in directing and evaluating subordinates
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Problem-solving abilities
- High school diploma; BSc/BA in supply chain, logistics or relative field is a definite plus
