Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Floor Care Technician to join our team. As a Floor Care Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of various floor surfaces in commercial settings. This is a hands-on role that requires knowledge and experience in custodial work and floor care techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance of floors, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming
- Utilize appropriate cleaning agents and equipment to remove stains, dirt, and debris from various floor surfaces
- Operate floor care machinery such as buffers, scrubbers, and carpet cleaners
- Conduct spot treatments and deep cleaning as needed
- Follow established safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and completion of tasks
- Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding cleanliness and sanitation standards
Requirements:
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or custodial work preferred
- Knowledge of different floor care techniques, including buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning
- Familiarity with various types of flooring materials (e.g., tile, hardwood, carpet)
- Ability to operate floor care machinery safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift heavy objects if required
- Good communication skills to interact with team members and clients
