Floor Broker receives buy and sell orders from clients or company executives and completes these orders on the securities trading floor. Evaluates market volatility and ensures clients receive the best rate available. Being a Floor Broker requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and may require state licensure. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Floor Broker typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Responsible for the installation of natural wood, pre-finished and engineered wood flooring.
-Tear out and disposal of existing product
-Preparation of the sub-floor and surrounding area
-Measuring, sizing, placement and securing of product with various adhesives, staples, etc.
-Maintaining an orderly worksite
Additional responsibilities include:
-Converse with customer for awareness of project schedule and variances
-Maintain equipment and company provided vehicle in safe and organized manner
-Assist in the management of personal schedule, time on job and project work
-Reporting of job hours
Qualifications and Education Requirements
-No schooling threshold
-Ability to do simple math and basic carpentry fractions
-Current drivers license
Preferred Skills
Familiarization and use of various wood shop tools and equipment
-chop, jig, band, and table saws and sanders
-Tape measures, scales, levels, right angles and machine guides
-General hand tools, adhesives, and power nailers
-Basic Carpentry skills
This role provides ability to earn a commission on jobs when actual hours spent are less than Estimated.
