We are seeking an energetic, friendly customer-focused and motivated Retail Sales Associate to join our team in Manchester, VT. The Retail Sales Associate will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service and assisting customers with product selection. *Key Responsibilities:**

**1. Customer Service:**
- Greet customers warmly and engage them in friendly conversation to determine their needs and preferences. We have a soft sell approach with our customers.
- Assist customers in finding products, providing information about features and pricing.
- Respond to customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and address any concerns promptly and professionally.

**2. Product Knowledge and Demonstration:**
- Develop a thorough understanding of products, brands, and merchandise available in the store.

**3. Sales
- Proactively approach customers and offer assistance .
- Recommend additional products or accessories based on customers' needs and preferences in a soft sell enviornment .

**4. Merchandising and Inventory Management:**
- Maintain visual presentation standards by ensuring shelves, displays, and product areas are clean, organized, and well-stocked.
- Assist with restocking shelves, replenishing merchandise, and arranging displays as needed.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate stock replenishment needs to management.

**5. POS Transactions and Cash Handling:**
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash, credit/debit card payments, and issue receipts with attention to detail.
- Balance cash register drawers and reconcile sales transactions at the end of each shift.

**6. Store Operations and Compliance:**
- Follow company policies and procedures regarding store operations, safety, and security.
- Adhere to all relevant regulations and laws, including those related to alcohol and tobacco sales (if applicable).
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the store, including restrooms, fitting rooms, and customer areas.

**7. Team Collaboration:**
- Collaborate with fellow team members and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to share insights, ideas, and feedback for improving store operations and customer service.

**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework or relevant retail experience preferred.
- Previous experience in retail sales, customer service, or hospitality is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with customers.
- Excellent communication and active listening skills.
- Basic math skills and proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash registers.
