Job Summary:

Operator will be expected to set up and run folder, cutter or bindery equipment. Operator may be required to assist on equipment with other operators.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Set up and run jobs on equipment
• Run job after approval and make sure job is up to standard
• Ensures materials are accurate keeping material in sequence and consistent with customer specifications
• Self-motivated and aware of quality control
• Follows management direction/instructions, able to provide quality feedback, operating suggestions and doesn’t require constant oversight
• Performs other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by a supervisor/manager.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Educational/Training Requirement:

• HS Diploma

Experience:

• 2 years of bindery related experience
• Folder operator experience preferred
• Preferred Education and Experience (list preferences, not requirements)
• Technical School training in print or bindery related equipment
• Understanding measurements related to proper application of customer job specification to aid in quality control/use and application of a ruler for measurement and quality checks
• Diecutting & Scoring Equipment Saddle Binding & Collating Scoring and Folding Trimming Custom Finishing

Physical Requirements:

Production Personnel -

While performing duties in production, the employee/candidate/incumbent is regularly required to perform activities which:

• Use, reach and lift with fingers, hands and arms, to handle, feel or operate equipment or material.
• The employee frequently is required to stand for extended periods of time up to 90% of the work day; to walk to obtain or move material up to 10% of the work day.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects/materials up to 50 pounds.
• Vision abilities are required by this job in order to view/review and correct the quality of production to the print/bindery work or to the material and equipment.
• The employee is required to be able to communicate.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
