ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Working Safe is priority
• Conduct workplace inspections focusing on any potential safety hazards.
• Ensure housekeeping standards are met and all areas are maintained in a clean and professional manner.
• Operate the perlite plant according to Standard Operating Procedures and ensuring product demands are met.
• Conduct thorough QC testing of process and finished composite samples. Ensuring product meets quality specifications.
• Enter production receipts and finished code data.
• Support minor maintenance activities with the mill.
• Maintain high level of communication to ensure efficiency and all plant goals are met

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

• High school diploma or general education (GED); or equivalent experience.
• 3 years in a process manufacturing environment and strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong technical and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work with a high degree of independence
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively (written and verbal)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment (multi-tasking skills a must)
• Good attention to quality and detail
• Good computer skills
• Ability to work extended hours or weekends as needed.
• Mechanical ability, preferred
• Welding experience; preferred but not required
