Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented Cashier to join our team. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean and organized checkout area. You will also stock items, hand out samples on slower days to encourage potential customers to buy. Assist kitchen when needed. If you have excellent communication skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.
Duties:
- Greet customers with a warm and friendly attitude
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments
- Maintain accurate cash drawer balances
- Answer customer inquiries and provide information about products or services
- Assist with bagging purchases and ensuring they are handled carefully
- Keep checkout area clean, organized, and well-stocked with supplies
- Follow all food safety guidelines when handling food items
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations
- Assist Kitchen when needed such as prepping
Skills:
- Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role is preferred
- Knowledge of basic math skills for handling cash transactions
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in processing transactions
- Excellent communication skills to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure
- Familiarity with food handling procedures is a plus
- Knowledge of restaurant operations is beneficial
- Proficiency in using cash registers or point-of-sale systems is desirable

Pay: From $10.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
