Food and Beverage Director
Edgewood Country Club is a private member owned country club in Commerce Township, Michigan. Edgewood has approximately 425 member families. Over 24,000 rounds of golf are played annually. The food and beverage sales approach $2 million dollars while dues and other income approach $4 million. Club facilities include an 18-hole golf course, a pool & fitness center, a halfway house, a new pool bar and grill and a 25,000 square foot clubhouse with two recently renovated patio areas for outdoor dining and banquet facilities seating up to 300 people, a mixed grille and a formal dining room.
Brief Job Description
The Edgewood Country Club has an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Food and Beverage Director. The successful candidate will have a genuine commitment to, and proven track record of, leadership in managing the food and beverage operation in a full-service private club or other high-end hospitality environment.
The scope of this position includes oversite of all food and beverage outlets and operations, including ala carte dining, private catering, and member functions as well as the pool grill and bar and the ½ way house on the golf course.
The Club is looking for a candidate with a proven ability to enhance the overall member/guest experience, is visible and interactive with members and staff, and skilled in planning, organization, and training a high-performance staff. The ability to maintain the private club tradition and meet member expectations, combined with a progressive approach and keeping current with industry trends, is a priority.
Other requirements of this position include managing food and beverage cost controls, developing departmental budgets and labor planning, among other aspects of running a successful Club food and beverage operation.
