Food & Beverage Manager manages the daily activities of the organization's food and beverage function. Oversees food and beverage inventory and budget control. Being a Food & Beverage Manager assists the Food and Beverage Director in menu planning, preparation and presentation of food and drinks, and monitoring adherence to quality and safety standards. Assists in the planning and coordination of special events. Additionally, Food & Beverage Manager may require an associate degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Food & Beverage Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Food & Beverage Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. - Maintain the highest levels of guest service and develop a rapport with both the hotel guests and the local clientele, meeting and greeting guests at the Restaurant, and handling guest complaints effectively and pleasantly.
- Conduct regular walkthroughs for maintenance in restaurants to continuously maintain or improve the physical properties.
- Ensure service standards are being met and exceeded. Offer support to staff when needed, offer corrections and coaching when applicable.
- Work with Food & Beverage Operations Manager to ensure service is seamless and consistent, regardless of the time of day or manager supervising.
- Help supervise and support all operations in the Mansion, the Pool, in Banquets, and In-Room Dining.
- Look for opportunities to improve service on all parts of the property. Communicate clearly with other members of the management staff to stay connected in this regard.
- Participate in weekly meetings with F&B Management staff. Work on projects assigned during these meetings and see them through to completion.
Required Qualifications- Three or more years operating experience in a similar capacity in a top restaurant group or luxury hotel Food & Beverage department.
- Experience in maintaining state and federal health and safety regulations.
- Experience in completing administrative tasks, including reporting, budgeting, project management, etc.
