Food & Beverage Manager manages the daily activities of the organization's food and beverage function. Oversees food and beverage inventory and budget control. Being a Food & Beverage Manager assists the Food and Beverage Director in menu planning, preparation and presentation of food and drinks, and monitoring adherence to quality and safety standards. Assists in the planning and coordination of special events. Additionally, Food & Beverage Manager may require an associate degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Food & Beverage Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Food & Beverage Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     II. Job Summary

    Responsible for management of dining room service in the manner most pleasing to members and all guests. Assures a high standard of appearance, hospitality and service in personnel and cleanliness of dining rooms. Supervises and trains dining room staff, manages within budgetary restraints. Guest satisfaction through proper food and beverage service and presentation and maximizing the Club potential.

    IV. Job Tasks (Duties)

    • Staff Training & Management
    • Review daily floor plans with host/hostess
    • Monitor meal times & qualities
    • Create a work environment that is centered upon teamwork and mutual respect while achieving guest satisfaction.
    • Monthly bar inventory
    • Weekly F.O.H. Schedule
    • Assures that effective orientation and training for new staff and professional development activities
    • Inspects to ensure that all safety, sanitation, energy management, preventive maintenance and other standards are consistently met.
    • Assures that all standard operating procedures for sales and cost control are in place and consistently utilized.
    • Helps plan and approve the organizational chart, staffing and scheduling procedures and job descriptions/ specifications for all department staff
    • Manages the long-range staffing needs of the department
    • Establishes quantity and quality output standards for personnel in all positions within the department
    • Implements policies and procedures for food and beverage departments
    • Greets guests and oversees actual service on a routine, random basis
    • Helps develop wine lists and bottle/glass wine sales promotion programs
    • Develops on-going training programs for service and bar production/service

    • Continually works to ensure correct handling procedures to minimize china and glassware breakage and food waste
    • Assists in planning and implementing of procedures for special club events and banquet functions

    Because of the fluctuating demands of the clubs operation, it may be necessary that each Employee

    Partner perform a multitude of different functions; therefore, as an essential part of your position, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other Employee Partners are expected to help you. Accordingly, you may be expected to perform other tasks as needed or as directed.
