Food & Beverage Manager manages the daily activities of the organization's food and beverage function. Oversees food and beverage inventory and budget control. Being a Food & Beverage Manager assists the Food and Beverage Director in menu planning, preparation and presentation of food and drinks, and monitoring adherence to quality and safety standards. Assists in the planning and coordination of special events. Additionally, Food & Beverage Manager may require an associate degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Food & Beverage Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Food & Beverage Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     SUMMARY:
    Oversee management and profitability of Breakfast, Restaurant, Lounge, and Banquet operations using cost control, quality standards, and personnel management to ensure excellent guest satisfaction and hotel profitability.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

    • Hire, train, supervise, and correct food and beverage team members
    • Manage team members' schedules considering payroll expenses and work-life balance
    • Manage inventory ensuring outlets are fully stocked, within budget, and compliant to brand and regulatory standards.
    • Maintain accurate departmental records
    • Expertly perform all food and beverage duties including but not limited to placing guest orders, running food, serving alcoholic beverages, bussing tables, replenishing stations, etc.
    • Create, implement, and market new concepts and promotions to drive sales
    • Act as Manager on Duty ensuring all responsibilities are complete
    • Respond to guest inquiries and resolve complaints elevating guest experiences
    • Ensure SALT scores remain above system average as determined by the brand
    • Ensure all required standards are met or exceeded for Quality Assurance

    • resolution methods, and exercising constructive corrective actions
    • Easily multitask and work in a fast paced environment
    • Proficiently schedule staff according to business demands and team member strength

    Friendwell Managed Hotels function twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. As a part of the hospitality industry a hospitable service atmosphere must be maintained at all times. All employees are required to project a friendly, welcoming, and positive attitude.

    Upon employment, all employees are required to fully comply with Friendwell rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of hotel facilities. Employees who violate hotel rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

    Pay: Up to $70,000.00 per year
