Berner Food and Beverage is currently seeking Machine Operators /Production Workers for their Dakota, IL location. The ideal worker is responsible for a variety of tasks including various food processing machine operations, stacking and inspection of cases, ensure product quality and stacked per product specifications; stack-off; labeling; and or any other duties assigned by the Shift Supervisors

Duties are to be carried out while following established Standard Operating Procedures in a manner that is compliant with our safety policies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following.
• Stack cases in a pattern assigned to the product
• Label products accordingly to product requirements
• Perform various tasks as assigned by Supervisor.
• Keep area clear of debris and hazards
• Inspect cases while being stacked for proper packing, damaged product, or other deformities
• Place holding layer of shrink wrap on pallets to ensure stability
• Proactively inform Supervisors and Line Operators of problems
• In some cases, perform scanning functions and issue paperwork or tracking numbers
Other duties may be assigned as needed to meet the needs of the business
Requirements
· Have the ability to read a production schedule/assignment
· Have the ability to communicate effectively with Supervisors
· A solid understanding of basic math
· Must have strong English reading and writing skills for documentation and paperwork purposes
· Be able to work a 12 hour (2-2-3 Rotating) Schedule
· Must be able to stand/ Walk for 12 hours
