Food & Beverage Manager manages the daily activities of the organization's food and beverage function. Oversees food and beverage inventory and budget control. Being a Food & Beverage Manager assists the Food and Beverage Director in menu planning, preparation and presentation of food and drinks, and monitoring adherence to quality and safety standards. Assists in the planning and coordination of special events. Additionally, Food & Beverage Manager may require an associate degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. Part Time: Hours Based on Events/Caterings
Compensation: $15/hr starting wage
JOB SUMMARY
This position will perform a variety of tasks and duties related to Catering both inside and outside and
Event Concessions. This position will assist in the setup and preparation for caterings and concessions
service. Serve guests, efficiently and with complete knowledge of food and beverage we are providing.
Offer excellent customer service and maintain work area in a clean and orderly manner. Work is
performed under supervision of the Food and Beverage Manager and Chef and is evaluated through
observation, conferences, review of work performed and public approval.
TYPICAL JOB DUTIES
Greet guests upon arrival, warmly and with a smile.
Communicate food, beverage and merchandise menus to guests in an effective manner.
Accurately take food and beverage orders.
Perform catering and concession food preparations as directed.
Clean, stock and maintain the work stations.
Follow all safety and sanitation policies.
Adhere to all applicable liquor laws with respect to the sale and service of alcoholic beverages.
Maintain good money management techniques and accurate tills.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma preferred but not required.
This position will spend 100% of the time standing.
Must be able to lift 35 pounds

Ability to communicate with customers in a kind and courteous manner.
Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and managers.
Basic math skills.
Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
Must be self-motivated.
Must have a commitment to providing quality service.

Ability to perform moderately heavy physical labor for extended periods of time.
Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
Must have or be able to quickly obtain Food Handlers and MAST permit.
