Food Services Director - Higher Ed. jobs in Kansas
Food Services Director - Higher Ed. directs and oversees all aspects of institutional food service and resources. Develops and maintains food service policies for all dining halls. Being a Food Services Director - Higher Ed. manages work schedules to ensure appropriate staffing levels and is responsible for purchasing supplies. May also plan and coordinate special theme events. Additionally, Food Services Director - Higher Ed. typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a senior institutional officer. The Food Services Director - Higher Ed. typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. - Certification as a Dietary Manager, Food Service Management Degree (or willing to be enrolled in a CDM program) that meets state and federal care regulations.
- At least two years of progressive and relevant experience
- Knowledge of FDA and USDA regulations regarding food practices and handling
- Current Safe Food Handler certificate a plus
- Basic math skills
- Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed.
