Food Services Director - Nursing Home directs and oversees food service for patients, employees, and visitors in a nursing home environment. Develops, manages, and maintains food service policies and procedures in accordance with administrative directives and professional standards. Being a Food Services Director - Nursing Home reviews menus and supervises the handling, preparation, and storage of food. Oversees equipment maintenance, record keeping and all sanitation activities. Additionally, Food Services Director - Nursing Home requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. - Proven leadership and managerial experience with the ability to effectively communicate with staff, medical community, residents and their families.
- 5-year minimum experience in a similar position/SNF experience.
- A good working knowledge of RAI (MDS) assessment process
- Knowledge of DOH regulations for nursing homes including the survey process and completing plans of correction
- Proficient computer skills (electronic medical records)
- Must be committed to and engaged in your job with a willingness to be flexible.
