Food Services Supervisor jobs in Anderson, IN
Food Services Supervisor supervises the daily operations of the organization's food service function. Maintains food storage level and report when it's low. Being a Food Services Supervisor reviews menus and supervises the handling and preparation. Ensures quality standards for foods are followed. Additionally, Food Services Supervisor maintains cleanliness of working area and the facilities. May require an associate degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Food Services Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. Overview
Prepares, plates, serves, and transports food and supplies to provide a high level of satisfaction for a diverse customer base. The customer base includes patients, family members, physicians, other employees and the public. The incumbent is responsible for quick, accurate, and courteous service, and resolution of customer concerns. - High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience preferred.
- No experience required.
- Requires knowledge of basic food safety; infection control and sanitation. Serve Safe training may be required, depending on location. ISDOH certification of Food handler under Title 410 IAC 7-22 may be required at some locations.
- Basic computer skills and knowledge of the CBORD system relative to job responsibilities preferred.
- Requires ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time. Also, requires lifting, pushing, pulling, bending and kneeling.
