Food Services Supervisor supervises the daily operations of the organization's food service function. Maintains food storage level and report when it's low. Being a Food Services Supervisor reviews menus and supervises the handling and preparation. Ensures quality standards for foods are followed. Additionally, Food Services Supervisor maintains cleanliness of working area and the facilities. May require an associate degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Food Services Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision.       • The Food Services Worker performs under close supervision of the Manager or Supervisor and according to defined procedures and established schedules. Food Services Workers perform a variety of duties that support the Nutrition & Food Services department including the kitchen, cafeteria, or other food locations.
      • This position will participate in direct support of the kitchen production.  Processing fruits, vegetables and other products.  Ability to handle large production equipment, be able to scale recipes and experience with knife handling preferred.   
    • Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
      • Education: N/A
      • License/Certifications: N/A
      • Experience: N/A
      • Ability to read and write English language as required by some duties.
      • Ability to perform basic Arithmetic as required duties.
      • Ability to perform safe food handling and sanitation techniques.
      • Interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively and courteously with a diverse group of departmental and intradepartmental employees, patients and their families, visitors and customers.
      • Ability to meet deadlines and concentrate on work.
      • Basic computer skills as required by some duties.
