Food Services Supervisor - Nursing Home jobs in Monroe, LA

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES (not all-inclusive)

• Organizes and assures that programs, policies and procedures are developed to assess, evaluate and meet the needs of the patient.
• Implements standards of nursing practice annually reviewing and revising as necessary to reflect changes in nursing practice.
• Addresses and supports cultural practices as long as such practices do not harm others or interfere with the planned course of medical therapy.
• Recommends modifications, additions or deletions of personnel policies to insure reasonable hours and acceptable working conditions to provide patient care coverage.
• Initiates and participates in problem solving, policy forming conferences for patient care services. Maintains close coordination with all departments to insure continuity and collaboration of services.
• Assuring that medical records requirements are being met.
• Assure that Uniformed Data System (UDS) information is maintained by the clinical staff.
• Assure that the Infection Control program requirements are being followed by the clinical staff.
• Assure that the referral process is being followed and completed on patients as required.
• Assure that safety is maintained.
• Addresses any negative outcomes regarding performance issues identified by completing a Corrective Action Plan and coaching the staff where needed.
• Collaborates with facility leaders in developing, implementing, reviewing, revising and monitoring facility-wide performance improvement activities.

• Comply with applicable law and fully compliant and cooperate with PHSC’s Compliance Program.
• All other duties as assigned to promote and enhance productivity at PHSC

QUALIFICATIONS

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current license by this state as a registered nurse.
• Minimum 5 years prior experience in patient care services.
• Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Must demonstrate a thorough understanding of strategic planning, non-profit clinic management, supervision and administration.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
