Food Services Supervisor - Nursing Home jobs in Philadelphia, PA

Director of Food Services: A Nursing Home located near Springfield, PA is actively seeking an experienced Director of Food Services.

FSD DUTIES:

• Plans assign & inspect the work of Food Service and overall Dietary Staff.
• Supervises the storage & care of food and supplies.
• Oversees the cleaning of the kitchen, storage, & dining and dietary areas, and equipment.
• Checks residents trays for consistency with the specified diet and menu & works on tray line at mealtimes.
• Charts dietetic progress for Residents at least quarterly to meet care plan goals, and as required.
• Coordinates and plans food preparation dietary activities for special events.
• Schedules and assigns dietary staff and reviews dietary department payroll for approval and potential data entry.

FSD REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience as nursing home dietary manager required.
• Serve Safe certified.
• Certified Dietary Manager or Certified Food Service Manager designation is required in accordance with CMS and/or State/County law.
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations, and ability to set processes to ensure maintenance of compliance.
• Strong knowledge of the practices utilized in large scale & therapeutic food prep.
• Solid leadership and supervisory skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be able to work as a team member.
