Qualification/Responsibilities:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Certified Dietary Manager required and capable of acquiring additional certificates required by the state
• Serv safe or similar food safety certification required
• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the dietary department as well as its programs and activities
• Supervise staff in the day-to-day operation of the Dietary Department
• Orient new staff and participate in recruitment and selection of dietary staff
• Review therapeutic and regular diet plans and menus to assure they are in compliance with physician’s orders
• Manage the operation of the Dietary Department to include staffing, food ordering and preparation, food delivery, food safety and sanitation in accordance with facility policies, physician orders, and resident care plans.
• Ensure equipment and work areas are clean, safe, and orderly, and strict adherence to procedures regarding cleaners or hazardous materials or objects
