The Director of Food & Beverage at Gaston Country Club is responsible for the entire Food & Beverage operations. This role works closely with our Executive Chef, F&B Manger(s), Bar Manger & Events Director. The Food and Beverage Director is the true face of the F&B operations and should offer a hands-on approach and an understanding that full, on-the-floor member and staff engagement is critical to the success in this position.
Have a strong and highly visible and respectful presence with the membership, be an exceptional communicator, great interpersonal skills, and the maturity to instinctively know how to treat members and guests with a high-level of service.

*Develop and enhance training programs for all food service personnel.
*Budgeting - Inventory Controls - Hiring - Orientation - Supervision
*Greets Members & Guests and oversees actual service on a routine basis. Manages by walking around and has the intuition for understanding the importance of being visible.
*Oversee multiple dining areas with varying styles of service to ensure a smooth and consistent experience of standards, high levels of member and guest satisfaction, quality food products, personalized service in conjunction with the Executive chef.
*Scheduling / Payroll
*Daily / weekly staff meeting for the F&B team members.
*Be collaborative team player who is "hands-on" when necessary, but understands when to step back and lead the team.
*Open and/or closes the Club as needed.
*Serves as a senior manager in the absence of the General Manager in conjunction with the Executive Chef.
Candidate Qualifications
*Minimum 5 years of progressive leadership and management experience in a private club or hospitality environment.
*Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in hospitality.

*Advanced Safety Skills – Observe safety rules, safely operate equipment, food safety consciousness, CPR and First Aid. Posses a TIPS training certification.
