RATE OF PAY: $15.25/HR. *Possible Pay Increase of 0% - 3% After 90 Days.
JOB SUMMARY: Assist the Beverage Manager in the overall operation of the department.
QUALIFICATIONS: Native American preference. High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred. Two (2) years bartending experience. Two (2) years background and extensive knowledge in supervision in the beverage industry. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Word and Excel is mandatory. Knowledge of accounting and personnel systems is preferred.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Must possess excellent communication skills. Must be able to function in a professional manner when dealing with guests and staff. Must be task oriented, attentive to detail and be willing to work in a team atmosphere.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Supervise all bartenders and wait staff during their shift. Ensure that responsible beverage service is maintained throughout the casino. Monitor all drink preparation and presentation at the various liquor outlets. Must have the ability to program, maintain and repair non-functioning cash registers. Assist the Manager in the preparation and coordination of shift schedules for all staff. Must have the ability to communicate with various distributors and have a knowledge of deep discount purchasing. Must maintain employee time sheets and work records. Must act in a fiduciary capacity with point-of-sale monetary receipts. Must be able to prepare, tabulate and distribute shift summary reports to auditing for verification. Must be able to cut-off alcohol service to intoxicated guests without causing confrontational situations.
Must be able to meet the attendance guidelines of the position, adhere to and enforce all departmental and company policies, and attend all mandatory trainings. Must comply with and enforce all safety policies and rules.
