  • Under direct supervision of the F&B Supervisor and F&B Front of the House Intern, maintains highly efficient and courteous food and beverage operations in a fast-paced setting by greeting guests, anticipating guest’s needs, providing knowledgeable food & beverage service, and providing consistent professional guest relations with a positive and upbeat personality. Works efficiently in a team-based environment and must follow Arizona Title 4 Liquor Laws, TOGE alcohol training, as well as all Tohono O’odham Gaming Enterprise (TOGE) Internal Controls (ICs), consistently.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:



    • Responsible for operating the cash register, daily records and the proper tendering of all transactions.
    • Responsible for balancing of cash register receipts, guest checks and gratuity sheets for team member’s shift.
    • Responsible for becoming familiar with discounts offered.
    • Responsible for training new team members.
    • Maintains a clean and orderly register area at all times.
    • Maintains a good communication with team members and maintains a positive and professional work environment.
    • Provides customer service in areas as needed.
    • Completes side work as assigned by F&B Supervisor and F&B Front of the House Intern or assigned team member.
    • Restocks all work areas. Sweeps floors throughout shift to ensure appearance standards are met.
    • Assists in the daily operation of the restaurant in an efficient, cost effective and labor effective manner.
    • Recognizes that each team member is a representative of the Casino and is responsible for demonstrating courtesy, respect and sensitivity to the needs of every guest.
    • Position requires that standard service techniques created must be learned and followed consistently.
    • Adheres to all Arizona Title 4 Liquor Laws and Enterprise’s ICs
    • Serves guests in a responsive, caring, prompt, and courteous manner.
    • Responds to guests’ requests.
    • Must possess an outgoing personality.
    • Ability to operate the Point of Sale (POS) cash register.
    • Responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of the entire work area.
    • Monitors guests to ensure that they are not intoxicated and well serviced.
    • Monitors guests to ensure that they are not intoxicated and proper procedures are followed if intoxication is observed.
    • Knows information regarding all Food and Beverage outlets/Casino Promotions and have ability to inform guest when asked.
    • Contributes to a team effort and accomplishes related results as required
    • Works closely with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of service for our guests.
    • Travel between Desert Diamond Casino properties may be needed.
    • Maintains proper attendance in accordance with casino policy.
    • Due to changes and modification in the job from time to time, we require team members to be flexible and assume other responsibilities assigned by management as management sees the necessity; some assignments may not be listed in this job description.

    Minimum Qualifications:


    Education and Experience:

    High school diploma or GED preferred, plus recent experience in food service point of sale cash handling experience, preferred. Must be 18 years of age or older. No felony, theft or stealing convictions. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screen and background investigation and obtain and maintain a gaming license and to include the following:


    Knowledge, Abilities, Skills, and Certifications:

    • Must have high energy and motivated personality
    • Knowledge of dining and food maintenance operations and customer service.
    • Knowledge of Arizona Title 4 Liquor Laws regarding alcohol service and assertiveness in the enforcement of said alcohol law.
    • Knowledge of cash handling.

    • Knowledge of restaurant menu or food items offered, bar items, liquors, and pricing.
    • Knowledge of POS system
    • Knowledge of ICs and commitment to follow, consistently.
    • Ability to obtain a Food Handler’s card
    • Ability to obtain TIPS Certification
    • Ability to successfully pass cash handling training
    • Ability to successfully pass departmental testing for position.
    • Ability to communicate, read, and write clearly in basic English.
    • Ability to demonstrate outstanding guest service at all times.
    • Ability to follow instructions and work in a stressful and busy environment.

    Physical Demands:

    While performing the duties of this job, the team member regularly is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The team member frequently is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The team member occasionally is required to sit; climb or balance; and taste or smell. The team member must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.


    Work Environment:
