    Purpose:
    The responsibilities of the Food & Beverage Supervisor (FBS) include working alongside the Food & Beverage Manager to manage food and beverage operations and standards, adhering to budgets, hiring, and training food and beverage staff, and handling customer complaints. To be a successful Food & Beverage Supervisor (FBS), you will perfect your excellent customer service and problem-solving skills while working with the FBM to train, encourage, and manage the Food & Beverage Team. The FBS will support SMR’s promise for guest satisfaction and future hotel stays through leading by example and teaching excellent guest service.
    Primary Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
    Managing the Business:
    The Food & Beverage Supervisor will work 8-10 hours per shift, 5 or 6 days each week, based on occupancy and staffing demand. Holidays and weekends are affected by peak demand which means all team members must work together during those days to keep the SMR property running efficiently.
    • Oversee cleanliness and maintenance in all dining areas, food & beverage quick serve locations, and the kitchen.
    • Complete Weekly and Monthly inventory and orders as assigned.
    • Ensure efficient management of the culinary department by enforcing all policies and procedures.
    • Respond to action items and guest related items or problems promptly and effectively to prevent reoccurrence.
    • Ensure all safety policies and procedures are strictly adhered to.
    • Ensure that all food safety regulatory policies are being followed and enforced.
    • Train personnel as required for proper food prep, cooking, serving, and presentation.
    • Ensure security of all property culinary equipment.
    • Communicate with property managers and the FBM regarding projects, inventory, ordering, guest impact items, and staff performance.
    • Be aware of industry trends and knowledgeable of the area including events and trends.
    • Maintain a culture of legendary service and hospitality among all staff.
    • Address employee-related items and issues promptly and professionally with the FBM in a manner that is consistent with core values.
    • Collaborate with the FBM to complete professional counseling, training, and termination when necessary.
    • Work with local health departments, fire inspectors, and other state or local agencies to maintain compliance at the property.
    • Assume the roles in various food and beverage venues as needed.
    • Compliance with TOSHA certification, biohazards procedures and responsibilities for safety in handling.
    • Recognize my role is significant to manage team members, impact guest excellence initiatives and repeat visits for future hotel stays, to meet and/or exceed financial objectives for my property and SMR.
    • Train and transition to electronic files where applicable to my responsibilities.
    • As assigned, develop weekly electronic work schedules for review and approval to manage occupancy.
    • Ensure work schedules comply: SMR, State, FDA, and FLSA federal guidelines.
    • Interact with team members and guests in a positive and friendly manner during all shifts, in all situations.

    Education / Experience:
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Prior experience with arcade equipment preferred.

    • Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, and carry 25-50 pounds regularly.

    Essential Functions:
    Specific vision abilities required for this job include peripheral, distance, close, and depth perception and the ability to adjust vision focus. The employee is regularly required to talk, hear, and sit, use hands to finger, touch, handle, and feel. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, climb and descend numerous flights of stairs consistently. The employee is required to use hand, arm, and leg to reach, bend, push, pull, stoop, kneel, and crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds daily on their own. Ability to tolerate various temperatures while working outdoors with exposure to high or low temperatures, sun, humidity, chemicals, chlorine and water. Some work will be performed indoors and/or in an indoor office environment. Stand and walk for the majority of the day. This position requires continuous ability to remember information.
