GENERAL DESCRIPTION
To coordinate and direct the efficient operation of a 110 seat sports bar and 70 seat outdoor patio bar, through quality service and total customer satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL ELEMENTS
Ensure that all functions and bar shifts are adequately staffed. Ensure a high level of customer service and satisfaction, handling any guest complaints to a positive conclusion. Conduct quarterly inventory to ensure that adequate supplies are available, including linens, & FF&E. Conduct monthly liquor inventory to ensure par levels are available. Order wine, liquor, and beer for both banquets and the bar. Perform and supervise preparation of guest checks and collection of payments in compliance with cash handling, credit card transactions, room charge processing and accounting policies and procedures. Perform table touches and implement guest experience enhancements. Expedite in the kitchen as necessary and perform duties of servers, bartenders, hosts and bussers as needed. Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned. Any other duties / tasks as requested by management.
Ensure that all reports are completed such as but not limited to: bar cash reconciliations, gratuity sheets, and weekly payroll.
Hire, train and develop, coach and counsel, review, etc. all bar personnel. Monitor payroll daily and weekly to insure maximum productivity and service, while staying within budgetary guidelines. Assist with other departments as necessary. Manage and control all expenses.
Attend all required meetings and training sessions. Participate in the Manager on Duty program.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum level: High School diploma required. Banquet and/or bartending experience preferred as well as two years of management experience in Food and Beverage. Must complete Alcohol Awareness training.
Office skills: Computer literate, ability to operate office equipment; good phone skills
Interpersonal and customer service skills: Ability to operate within a fast paced, ever changing environment while maintaining a positive and cheerful attitude. Demonstrate management skills through education and/or experience. Good communication skills and team building skills. Exhibits skills needed to resolve conflicts. Detail oriented.
PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS
Including but not limited to: Position requires standing and walking. Requires use of fingers and hands. Occasionally lift and carry heavy trays at shoulder level. Occasionally lift and carry beer kegs, cases of liquor, etc. Occasionally lift and carry tables and move stacks of chairs. Requires bending, stooping, and reaching. Must be able to hear and speak to facilitate communications with guests, vendors, and employees.
