This is a full time, seasonal position, operating approximately from April - October, with the opportunity for further employment in the winter months when the restaurant is open on the weekends. The starting salary is based on an annual rate and that base annual rate is paid out biweekly during the summer season.
Job Summary: Direct and supervise all resort food and beverage operations to provide the finest food and beverage service to our guests. Provide and monitor staff training, performance and guest service to ensure that the highest professional standards of product knowledge and sales techniques are coupled with best possible food and beverage service to our guests.
Duties and Requirements of the Job:
· Keep property clean.
Maximize Food and Beverage revenues by staff training in service and sales techniques.
· Model, demonstrate and enforce the “Aggressive Hospitality” program as established by Garland, being attentive to the guests’ every need while they are here with us.
· Communicate and coordinate with other departments to promote the resort.
· Take proactive role in company future.
· Model and comply with company policies regarding scheduling, appearance, hygiene, training, absenteeism and tardiness.
· Supervise all delegated duties.
· Provide, direct and monitor continuous education and training of employees and support staff.
· Implement and follow procedures for progressive disciplinary action.
· Supervise proper check control system, and periodic auditing to ensure proper check handling procedures.
· Participate in month–end inventory practices.
· Supervise operations to maintain highest standards of service stall appearances, as well as all areas of the food and beverage operation.
· Supervise proper room service procedures, including standards of billing, delivery time, follow through, and up selling.
· Control costs: labor, food, liquor, linen, china, glassware, silver—by enforcing proper care of same.
· Supervise and be responsible for all internal controls relating to food/beverage products, cash and inventory.

Physical Requirements to Perform the Duties of the Job:
· Must be able to lift 25 lbs. Over the shoulder while walking more than 6 times daily
· Must be able to stand or walk for a minimum of 8 hours daily
Licensing, Education and/or other Special Certification(s) Required:
· High school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
· Valid Driver’s License
