Forecast Analyst jobs in Gary, IN

Reporting to the general manager, the forecast analyst will be providing data used to drive business decisions impacting purchasing, manufacturing and transportation with the object of maximizing customer satisfaction and determining optimal inventory levels. This position also leads the dialogue each month for their respective customers and products with key counterparts in the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process.

Responsibilities:

• Conducts statistical analysis using historical data to identify, analyze and communicates data trends and issues affecting the business.
• Accomplish timely, accurate monthly forecast process at a SKU level, beginning with the generation of forecast through the upload of data into ERP system for execution of plan.
• Collaborate with sales, manufacturing and supply management contacts to generate forecasts.
• Provide overall support to business stakeholders to investigate questions/concerns relating to forecast data.
• Participate in meetings throughout the S&OP process.
• Perform various ad-hoc reporting, analysis or projects, as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience with ERP/BI software and Microsoft O3665
• JIT Inventory & Forecasting Analytics
• Sales & Operations Planning or Master Scheduling experience
• Reporting and analytics skills including query writing for business intelligence and relational databases
• Manufacturing assembling and VMI environment support
• Knowledge of hardware, fasteners & production/supply

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree (Business, Math, Statistics, Economics) or equivalent work experience

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years of proven data analytics or equivalent combination of training and experience
