Determines the best metrics to use to provide the most accurate representation of the forecast. Being a Forecast Analyst works with other departments within the organization to determine optimal inventory levels. May require a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Forecast Analyst typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Forecast Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. We provide software and forecasting support to companies in North America, Europe, Australia, and South Asia. Our forecast work includes everything from 5-minute real time forecast systems for electric grid operation to forecasts that extend as far as 30-year out to support long-term electric load capacity planning. Working with a team of energy forecasting experts, you will help us provide data analysis, predictive analytics/statistical modelling, training, and presentations to support a global client base.
As part of the forecast team, you will help support our real-time grid-operation forecasting applications and are other forecasting products. You will also help develop long-term sales, revenue, and demand forecasts to support our clients' financial and resource planning requirements. This work will involve monitoring and improving statistical model results, monitoring and cleaning historical data, and responding to support requests from customers. In addition, you will be developing process documentation for FaaS activities, such as setting up a new customer. Finally, you will have the opportunity to assist senior staff with project work and prototyping of new forecasting methods.
