This position is in the Forecast to Stock area of Supply Chain, with a particular focus on Inventory, Manufacturing integration and Logistics.
A Business Analyst analyzes complex business problems and develops recommendations, gathers and clarifies business requirements, answers questions about data elements and how they relate to business processes and workflows.
Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Works within the business process framework to decompose processes; analyzes, simplifies and optimizes processes based on findings.
Organizes business design sessions and blueprinting to arrive at the future state tool, process and people design.
Identifies automation opportunities and stays up to date on modern information technology (IT) tools and capabilities, coordinates with business and development team stakeholders whenever a new feature or update is added to a project.
Relays client feedback, instructs the development team to make amendments and determines the feasibility of proposed features.
Tests feature prototypes by involving clients and recording their experiences.
Conducts user acceptance testing to determine whether the prototype meets the requirements of the project under consideration.
Possesses strong communication and customer engagement skills, provides input to system design, making decisions for functionality and configuration, gauging and measuring data quality levels and providing troubleshooting support.
On smaller efforts, performs the project management function, including scope, time, and quality (including data quality) management and may work on several applications, projects and programs simultaneously.
Records, monitors and publishes critical project, program, process key performance indicators, documents progress and reports to senior stakeholders regularly.
Reviews existing reports, metrics, makes recommendations to improve quality and efficiency of business processes, when applicable.
Skills required:
Excellent SQL skills to be able to query and 'cook' data with common reporting tools (Power BI/Excel pivots etc.)
Ability to design and understand data models and data flows from one system to the other (source to target)
Ability to login to multiple systems and ability to analyze/reconcile the data in and across them (SAP and other databases like SQL Server, Teradata, SAP HANA or Oracle)
Ability to create data mockups by joining various data elements in Excel.
Ability to design and create data visualizations (charts, graphs, dashboards).
Familiarity with how security works in enterprise systems (access management, authorizations etc.)
Knowledge of working in SCRUM teams.
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications
The candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or other Engineering related field and 6 years of experience -OR- a Master's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or other Engineering related field and and 4 years of experience in:
Experience in Forecast to Stock area of Supply Chain, with a particular focus on Inventory, Manufacturing integration and Logistics
Database/data warehouse solutions handling the data generated in supply chain processes.
One or more of the following database technologies: Teradata, SAP Hana, MS SQL, Azure, Snowflake
Preferred Qualifications
Semiconductor manufacturing and related concepts, including manufacturing operations
Supply Planning concepts (inventory, demand and bill of materials), Supply chain planning parameters.
Logistics, Procurement, and Inventory management
Relevant supply chain certifications, e.g., CSCP
Relevant Azure Cloud certifications, e.g., DP900, AZ900, AZ104, AZ305
