SUMMARY: Accurate demand forecasting is one of the primary components to meeting key company objectives for the minimization of overstock, top-level inventory turns and industry leading fill rates and service levels. The forecasting position is responsible for ensuring that an accurate forecast is provided through the use of statistical modeling techniques and cross functional collaboration efforts with the Strategic Inventory Managers, Buyers/Planners, Sales/Marketing and Product Management groups through all phases of the product life cycle.
Hours: 8AM – 5PM (Mon – Fri)
Pay: $40,000 - $50,000/yr.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop forecasts ensuring best practices and statistical models are applied uniformly throughout the forecasting process.
- Identify and perform root cause analysis on product with high forecast error. Forecast Analyst must identify the appropriate actions to take on product and make adjustments to future forecast if necessary.
- Utilize the Exception Management Forecasting Process to proactively identify potential problem items that need to be reviewed due to demand versus forecast variation. Further analysis and collaboration efforts will be required to determine if the forecast needs adjustment.
- Lead and/or participate in forecast collaboration efforts with Strategic Inventory Planners, Planning, Sales, Marketing and Product Management to identify trends, promotions, events, product launches and exits, etc .
- Participate on cross-functional teams responsible for evaluating strategic opportunities ensuring financial implications of potential forecast strategies are fully considered. This is critical in managing inventory in all phases of the product life cycle to ensure adequate inventory that minimizes stock-outs and avoids excess inventory that may result in overstock.
- Forecast Analyst will manage all forecasting processes and will have accountability for forecast accuracy, fill rates, and inventory turns on their business team.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelors Degree (B.A.) required and/or 3 years relevant experience. Strong leadership skills and expert analytical/decision-making skills.
