Development Associate for the Gift Planning Strategic Operations team, you would play an integral role supporting the Assistant Program Director and the Senior Director of Gift Planning Strategic Operations as they administer the Charitable Remainder Trust (CRT), Charitable Gift Annuity (CGA,) and life insurance programs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Administration of Charitable Remainder Trust (CRT) and Charitable Gift Annuity (CGA) Programs including but not limited to:
- Maintenance and auditing of reporting information
- Work with Controller's Office in coordinating tax reporting to benefactors
- Work with colleagues to prepare records and data for new and terminated CRTs and respond to donor inquires
- Improve technical processes for CRT and CGA communications and reporting
- Administration of Life Insurance Program including but not limited to:
- Maintain and track all existing and new life insurance policies owned by the University, create reports summarizing payments, and communicate with donors and insurance carriers regarding values and premiums
- Complete necessary paperwork and communications regarding premium payments
- Management of Planned Giving Administration Systems including but not limited to:
- Update distribution and benefactor information
- Perform reviews of planned gift types within system and run reports and organize information for leadership review
- Serve as technical expert for data management systems
- Assist with Realized Estate Gifts including but not limited to:
- Review deceased benefactor information and provide updates regarding estate status
- Update biographical information
- Review and confirm all booked realized estate gifts
- Process incoming mail, court documents, and trust statements
- Further develop and document procedures and checklists for processing gifts
- Administrative, Procedural, and Technical Support including, but not limited to:
- Support Gift Planning Strategic Operations with administrative needs and projects
- Evaluate Gift Planning processes and proactively identify areas of improvement and functional gaps in existing processes
- Improve file and records systems and procedures in Gift Planning
- Update guides, checklists, and training efforts to build competency and solicit feedback for future enhancements
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3 years of professional experience preferably in financial, legal, fiduciary, or university development sector
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, verbally and in writing
- Experience tracking, organizing, maintaining, updating, and sharing data and key resources (digital and physical)
- Experience using Google Suite (Drive, Gmail, YAMM, Docs, Sheets, etc.), CRM applications and comfortable learning new software & technologies for the role
- Strong desire to be a part of the mission of the University
Preferred Qualifications:
- Formal education or certification in accounting, finance, legal studies, or business analytics and/or comparable training and experience in a professional environment
- Bachelors degree
