Job Duties/Scope Of Work
JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for the oversight of day-to-day management of electricians within the Maintenance Electrical Service organization. This is a day shift position; however, all shifts are subject to change based on business need.
Essential job duties associated with this position include:
- Management and oversight of bargaining unit personnel to efficiently complete scheduled maintenance activities.
- Coordination of all activities for assigned work scope with customer representatives.
- Recommending personnel actions related to assigned personnel in accordance with HMIS policies and procedures.
Other work responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Plan and schedule resources as necessary to meet work priorities.
- Work directly with bargaining unit personnel in the field to maintain continuity of safe operations.
- Interact with operations and other customers at all levels.
- Manage personnel and resources within budget constraints.
- Investigate and report all events and occurrences.
- Ensure work is performed in a safe, cost-effective manner.
- Provide support to implement and manage work packages and work management process for the organization.
- Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priority, quantity of equipment, and skill of personnel.
- Monitor employees' work levels and review work performance.
- Recommend or initiate personnel actions, such as hires, promotions, transfers, or disciplinary measures as needed.
- Conduct and/or arrange for worker training in safety, repair, or maintenance techniques, operational procedures, or equipment use.
- Other job duties as assigned by management.
Basic Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or equivalency required.
- Directly related and progressive experience in maintenance or electrical services, including leadership experience (i.e., Fieldwork supervisor, supervisor, superintendent, general foreman or foreman, lead, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to direct, manage and produce results.
- Must have previous experience in managing multiple crafts and be knowledgeable with a formal Lock and Tag and electrical safety procedure.
- Working knowledge of NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) 70 & 70E.
- Ability to operate a computer workstation and demonstrate basic computer skills/knowledge.
- Ability to communicate effectively both in writing, verbally, and interface effectively with all levels of management.
- Experience planning and scheduling work of operational employees.
- Capable of understanding, assembling, and implementing workflows, work packages, sequences, processes, and best practices.
Desired Qualifications
- Completion of an electrician apprenticeship program.
- 01 electrical license or equivalent.
Compensation & Benefits
Grade 18: $104,175 - $131,425
Grade 19: $114,475 - $144,325
Grade 20: $126,025 - $158,875
