    What we need from you:

    The 1031 Exchange/Wire Coordinator assists clients through the entire 1031 exchange process which includes analysis and determination of eligibility, processing contracts, communication with involved parties throughout the process, and receiving in / disbursing out funds. The coordinator also reviews and processes daily wires, partners with key bank contacts, and provides support to the closing departments.

    Responsibilities:

    • Greet customers enthusiastically and professionally, either over the phone or in person, with an emphasis on representing Land Title in a way that builds customer relationships and a positive corporate image
    • Answer customer inquiries in a timely and accurate manner; provide information to authorized persons, or determine who can best provide the information and route the request; for 1031 exchange questions, provide technical assistance when needed
    • Determine if a client qualifies for a 1031 exchange and provide advice and direction on IRS guidelines
    • For eligible 1031 exchanges, process paperwork and send out the contract; once the customer identifies their property, draft an exchange agreement, complete assignment of contract and notify closing team
    • Set up customer in reminder review system; generate deadline report weekly and send out customer reminders; maintain calendar for wires deadlines
    • At the time of the closing, review the settlement statement and associated funds flow; send out verification of deposit letter with deadline dates
    • Initiate/input outgoing wires in various bank systems utilizing information from our escrow system platform
    • Authorize/approve outgoing wires in various bank systems initiated by others
    • Download incoming wires from banks and upload to the escrow system
    • Manually input wires in to the escrow system
    • Contact various banks to close and transfer funds related to long term escrow accounts
    • Communicate with bank(s) to resolve wire issues
    • Other duties as assigned by Escrow Manager

    Education and Experience:

    • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
    • Computer savvy including solid working knowledge of Google Suite (GMail, Docs, Sheets) or a similar product (Microsoft Office)
    • Previous banking experience/real estate knowledge/title industry experience or other related experience preferred
    • Experience working in a customer service environment required
    • Ability to quickly learn and navigate new systems

    Compensation:

    • The anticipated salary this position is $40,000 to $50,000 annually. In accordance with Colorado state law, this position is non-exempt and all overtime will be paid at time and a half.
    • Annual employee profit-sharing bonus, based upon company performance.
