The British Embassy in Kazakhstan is part of a world-wide network, representing British political, economic, trade, and consular interests overseas and is now looking for an enthusiastic Economic Section Support Officer.
The main purpose of job will be administrative, logistical and clerical support to the economic team including regional travel, inward visits, project and other events and meetings, as well to provide Kazakh interpretation services across the Embassy including in visits outside of Nur-Sultan. Therefore there will be a need to travel around Kazakhstan accompanying British diplomats.
Roles and responsibilities:
This is a full-time position of 5 working days (36 hours net) per week, 24 months contract.
Salary will be USD 1,190 per calendar month (gross). Please note that it is the employee’s responsibility to pay individual income tax.
Employees are entitled to annual leave entitlement pro-rata based on 25 days total per calendar year. In addition, the Embassy observes up to 14 days public holidays marking different Kazakh and UK holidays. The Embassy provides medical insurance for the job holder and two dependants.

The successful candidate will be subject to confirmation of a professional background check and security clearance, and is expected to commence employment as soon as possible.
