  • GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The Retail Sales Representative has overall responsibility and accountability to provide knowledgeable and professional service to all customers.

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Assist management in determining appropriate priorities and course of actions necessary in order to accomplish the goals of the Company.
    • Provide extraordinary services in the area of Retail Sales including; digital cameras and all related accessories.
    • Maintain a professional demeanor in business relations including customers, fellow employees and management.
    • Ensure that all customer transactions and concerns are handled professionally and that all issues are resolved in the best interest of both the customer and the Company.
    • Observe and replenish all stock levels on the sales floor as needed.
    • Proactively maintain clean and well-designed merchandise displays.
    • Continuously update product knowledge on current and new products available in the industry.
    • Assist in the enforcement of internal security policies and manage to a goal of zero loss.
    • Perform and maintain accurate documentation of all department transactions.
    • Report to management the status of operations.
    • Consistently meet specified sales goals.
    • Develop and present training classes to customers on topics relating to products and techniques in the industry.
    • Any other duties assigned.

    • Reports to the Store Manager and Assistant Store Managers

    EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

    • A minimum of a high school or equivalent degree. Specialized classes or a formal education in photography/videography highly desirable.

    EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

    • A minimum of six months of retail experience, preferably in an imaging related field.
    • Extensive knowledge of photography/videography.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with people at all levels.
    • Excellent reading and math skills, with the ability to use a calculator for determining sales tax, total sales, profit margins and discounts.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Ability to stand for long periods of time and work in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
    • Must be physically capable of moving, lifting, pulling or pushing 25 lbs. several times a day.
