Evening Studies Coordinator
Primary Position Objectives
Responsible for conducting outreach, recruitment, eligibility determination, and admissions functions and processes in compliance with government and management directives.

Procedures
- Meet with students on a one-on-one, small group, or classroom tutoring format to give learning assistance.
- Relate to students with various academic levels and needs; facilitate learning as a guide and coach to assist the student(s) to become a successful, independent learner.
- Record student attendance for all tutoring and/or evening study sessions and report if student(s) miss appointments or routinely arrives to their session late.
- Monitor spreadsheet for hours students receive from Evening Studies as well as from other departments on center for evening/weekend activities. This would include, but not be limited to: Tutoring, Independent Living Skills, Recreation Classes/Focus Groups, Counseling Groups, TEAP Classes, and Weekend Study Hall sessions.
- Effectively work with young people from diverse backgrounds; providing students with basic direction, instruction and assistance in designated areas of instructions
- Maintain and monitor computer equipment (terminals, peripherals and printers) to ensure proper operation and availability for use.
- Teach, model, and evaluate student employability skills.
- Promote student attainment of career success standards through modeling appropriate skills, mentoring students, monitoring skill acquisition and intervening when inappropriate behavior is observed.
- Control use of supplies, materials, and equipment.

- Presents information both clearly and concisely and regularly confirms correct interpretation of information.
- Very high standard of communication skills both written and oral for the presentation of facts and ideas.
- Written communication must be clear, concise, easy to read and comprehend.
- Demonstrates the ability to handle several projects simultaneously.
- Implements the key principles of time management, task allocation and priority assignment in addition to personal organization.
- Continually seek ways to improve the service provided via development of professional skills and personal growth.
- Initiates and responds to suggestions for improving service.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with advanced Microsoft Office applications including Word, Power Point and Excel.
One (1) year related experience working with youth.
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid State Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
