Education and Work Experience:

• Ph.D. or Psy.D: Required
• Five years' technical experience: Preferred
• Two years' leadership experience: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

• Clinical Psychologist licensure in state of practice: Preferred

Facility Specific License/Certifications:

• Psychologist (PSYCH): Required

Essential Functions:

• Oversees the psychological screening, assessment and/or evaluations on all patients referred for examination and/or mental health treatment. Oversees treatment plans for all patients requiring specialized therapy.
• Coordinates with consulting psychiatrist to ensure patients requiring evaluation for medication, or re-evaluation of current medications, are seen by the psychiatrist/physician in a timely manner. Ensures the psychiatrist is aware of any information pertinent to the patient's clinical condition.
• Interprets a patient's self report of behavior and/or appropriate psychological tests. Delivers supportive services, consultation and educational programs for the department.
• Communicates clinical findings in writing, as well as through Mental Health consultation with organizational staff. Provides documentation in accordance with unit policies and procedures.
• Leads interdisciplinary treatment team meetings. Utilizes electronic medical record system (EMR) as applicable throughout the scope of duties and responsibilities.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
