Forest and Conservation Worker reforests and protects timber tracts and maintains forest facilities including roads and campsites. Applies a wide range of concepts. Being a Forest and Conservation Worker applies practical knowledge of practices and procedures from two or more specialized fields, such as forestry, soil science and/or agriculture. May require 2-4 years of related work experience. Additionally, Forest and Conservation Worker relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. This position is intended for youth with an interest in agriculture, natural resources, and related fields. The employee will gain practical experience through working closely with professionals in a scientific discipline.
Employees hired into Intermittent positions are limited to working no more than 720 hours per fiscal year.
