The Forest Biometrician provides growth and yield modeling and forest inventory analytics and oversees projects that support the biometrics team priorities and mission. Focuses on the development of operational growth and yield systems and related decision support tools by updating Rayonier's computer programs and maintain quality data. Serves as a consultant to the broader LIS team on mensuration techniques which improve our ability to predict forest inventory and yield. Assists with engagement of university cooperatives to advance research and development by attending cooperative meetings and working one-on-one with students and faculty across our landbase. The Forest Biometrician plays a vital role in assessing acquisition opportunities through thorough review of inventory data and assisting with wood-flow modeling.
