Job Summary:
This is an instructional support position responsible for assisting the certified teacher with general clerical/administrative tasks, guidance, direction, and educational leadership of students placed in LiFT’s integrative educational program. The teacher assistant is expected to understand and implement the use of curriculum, instruction, academic and behavioral accommodations, assessments, and improvement models established by the certified teacher to maximize the educational achievement for all students; work collaboratively to ensure a working and learning climate for all students that is safe, secure, and respectful of diversity.

Classroom Teacher Assistant works under the close supervision of the Classroom Teacher and reports to the Principal

Minimum Requirements:
Education, Experience and/or Knowledge
Behavior Interventions, and Instructional Strategies o Experience in curriculum implementation and accommodations for special education students. o Experience with and implementation of Service Plans preferred.
