Duties: Routes parts to assembly areas, provides inventories and dispatches direction to bench and assembly areas on a daily basis for up to a 3 shift operation. Receives materials, parts components and assemblies undergoing test, repair, re-work or manufacture, to meet and coordinate end item deliveries. Dispatches and sub routes material between control points and between control points and shops for assembly of finished hardware. Prepares material for dispatching by using materials handling equipment (MHE) to insure items are routed and dispatched without damage. Operates electric, gas, and/or diesel-powered forklift to move loads under 10,000 lbs.
Qualifications: Ability to do the work of a Materials Expediter (Fork Lift Operator) without more than normal supervision. Which includes the ability to: (1) Prepare materials and/or parts for dispatching by using material handling equipment such as electric, gas and/or gas-powered forklifts; (2) Route parts and/or materials based on priority levels; and (3) Ensure materials/items are tracked, accounted for, and maintained properly.
Physical Effort: Regularly handles weights up to 44 pounds unassisted, with carries up to 25feet. Material handling devices and assistance of other workers are available for handling especially heavy items. Heavy exertion is frequent. Constant kneeling, crouching, stooping, and walking is required.
Working Conditions: Regularly exposed to possible injury associated with handling equipment. Work is usually performed indoors in a well lighted and ventilated production shop area. May be exposed for short periods to outdoor conditions. Regularly exposed to shop noises, dirt, fumes, and vibrations.
Requirements for Position:
· The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states.
· Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
· This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
· This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
· This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random drug testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
· This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations.
· Due to the nature of this position, employees are required to work both planned and unscheduled overtime.

· Term employment is subject to a one-year trial period.
