Foundation Director directs the execution of the vision, strategic planning, financial management, fundraising, and grantmaking operations that support the overall objectives of a foundation. Defines the goals and tactics for fundraising campaigns and program initiatives. Being a Foundation Director represents the foundation to the public and media to communicate its mission, values, and accomplishments. Maintains positive relationships with foundation stakeholders, including the board of directors, grantees, community leaders, donors, and prospective donors. Additionally, Foundation Director oversees grantmaking operations, including developing grant guidelines, reviewing grant applications, and managing the grant evaluation process. Manages foundation programs and initiatives that align with the foundation's mission and values. Implements systems for monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the foundation's grantmaking and programs. Ensures all foundation activities comply with applicable laws, reporting requirements, and regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Foundation Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. BASIC FUNCTION:
As a member of the Management Staff, The Director of Surgical Services participates in formulation of policy, in organization of procedures essential to the achievement of objectives, and in development and evaluation of programs and services. The Director is responsible for the development of nursing policies for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating knowledge and practice activities of nursing service staff. The Director is accountable for fostering the participation of nursing staff in assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of practice to provide safe, efficient and effective nursing care. The Director of Surgical is responsible for administrative planning, organizing, directing and managing the resources, daily operations, and patient care activities for multiple departments/service lines on a twenty-four (24) hour basis. Departments of responsibility include the Perioperative Clinic (PC), Same Day Surgery, Operating Room, Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), Endoscopy, and Central Sterile Processing (CSP) Departments.
