Foundation Director directs the execution of the vision, strategic planning, financial management, fundraising, and grantmaking operations that support the overall objectives of a foundation. Defines the goals and tactics for fundraising campaigns and program initiatives. Being a Foundation Director represents the foundation to the public and media to communicate its mission, values, and accomplishments. Maintains positive relationships with foundation stakeholders, including the board of directors, grantees, community leaders, donors, and prospective donors. Additionally, Foundation Director oversees grantmaking operations, including developing grant guidelines, reviewing grant applications, and managing the grant evaluation process. Manages foundation programs and initiatives that align with the foundation's mission and values. Implements systems for monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the foundation's grantmaking and programs. Ensures all foundation activities comply with applicable laws, reporting requirements, and regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Foundation Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. STS Foundation is looking forward to the fall launch of the 2024/25 school year, and the arrival of our well-screened high school exchange students from 17 different countries. As a result of our advanced planning, we are looking to hire an established Local Coordinator to oversee the placement and supervision of our international students.
As a Coordinator, you will use your established knowledge of the local area to locate, screen, and support volunteer host families for our fall arriving exchange students. You will also provide monthly program support for the students and their high schools as they complete their exchange year in America. Coordinators must provide excellent community recommendations, and possess good community contacts. Knowledge of social media marketing is a plus.

Main duties of a Local Coordinator:
Recruit and qualify local volunteer host families and surrounding area schools
Represent the STSF program to local high school administrators - obtaining school acceptance for fall arriving exchange students
Provide DOS compliant supervision of the exchange student during the exchange stay
Submit monthly student progress reports to the National Office
