Foundation Director directs the execution of the vision, strategic planning, financial management, fundraising, and grantmaking operations that support the overall objectives of a foundation. Defines the goals and tactics for fundraising campaigns and program initiatives. Being a Foundation Director represents the foundation to the public and media to communicate its mission, values, and accomplishments. Maintains positive relationships with foundation stakeholders, including the board of directors, grantees, community leaders, donors, and prospective donors. Additionally, Foundation Director oversees grantmaking operations, including developing grant guidelines, reviewing grant applications, and managing the grant evaluation process. Manages foundation programs and initiatives that align with the foundation's mission and values. Implements systems for monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the foundation's grantmaking and programs. Ensures all foundation activities comply with applicable laws, reporting requirements, and regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Foundation Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Foundation Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.   • Meta is seeking a director of finance data foundation and automation who can help drive the digital foundation for the Finance and Business Planning organization. You will lead the Data Foundation and Automation team and help shape the team’s data and tooling strategy. You will be responsible for building and maintaining the data architecture and data strategy to support FP&A use cases. You will identify opportunities for process automation and workflow optimization within finance operations in order to streamline tasks, improve efficiency, and reduce manual effort. You will work with cross-functional stakeholders to address any pain points.Successful candidates for this position will have strong knowledge of financial systems, have a bias toward action, and know how to balance getting the details right while still moving fast. This role will be responsible for building out the large-scale finance systems architecture and lead cross-functional projects for the Finance team.     Director, Data Foundation and Automation Responsibilities:

    • Lead a team of Data Analysts, Business Analysts and a Technical Project Manager
    • Work with engineering and robotic process automation partners to shape and drive data infrastructure design and innovative system architecture, including data warehousing, reporting, and analytics platform
    • Collaborate with business partners to understand their analytical needs and develop solutions to address them.
    • Conduct complex data analysis on financial data to derive actionable insights that inform business strategy and decision-making.
    • Manage large-scale finance systems implementation projects (Oracle, Essbase, Hive, Tableau)
    • Develop a deep understanding of core FP&A planning principles, processes and deliverables such as budgeting/forecasting, accruals and close, variance analysis, approvals, and reporting.
    • Identify improvement & efficiency opportunities and drive alignment & roadmaps for key planning responsibilities
    • Gather business requirements from across the finance Org and project manage engineering team to build finance solutions
    • Communicate technical issues with business partners and business needs to technical partners
    • Drive process improvements by partnering with up-stream process owners and enhance current tools/systems related to financial management
    • Help define and implement scalable financial processes related to month-end and quarter-end close, including accruals and reporting



    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Attention to detail with an understanding of the big picture - experience creating a vision and influence others to align to that vision
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics or a related field
    • 10 years of relevant experience in field of data analytics
    • Experienced with data visualization tools such as Tableau and demonstrated knowledge to learn new tools and techniques
    • Experienced in communicating with a wide range of cross functional and internal audience with experience distilling complex concepts and analysis into concise actionable conclusions



    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experienced with SQL, Python, R, and/or other data analytics tools
    • Experience in applicable accounting concepts and financial planning
    • Finance experience with an emphasis on financial systems and databases
