Foundation Director directs the execution of the vision, strategic planning, financial management, fundraising, and grantmaking operations that support the overall objectives of a foundation. Defines the goals and tactics for fundraising campaigns and program initiatives. Being a Foundation Director represents the foundation to the public and media to communicate its mission, values, and accomplishments. Maintains positive relationships with foundation stakeholders, including the board of directors, grantees, community leaders, donors, and prospective donors. Additionally, Foundation Director oversees grantmaking operations, including developing grant guidelines, reviewing grant applications, and managing the grant evaluation process. Manages foundation programs and initiatives that align with the foundation's mission and values. Implements systems for monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the foundation's grantmaking and programs. Ensures all foundation activities comply with applicable laws, reporting requirements, and regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Foundation Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Foundation Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Our desire is to increase cultural understanding for the local community by working with international teens. This is a part-time position that can easily be done in your spare time to earn a little extra money and more importantly provide an opportunity to influence the life of an international teen. The Area Representative is an independent contractor position, so it allows you to keep any full-time position that you already have.

Responsibilities and Duties
Duties Professionally represent Pan Atlantic Foundation in your community Find Host Families, Maintain relationships with schools, and Raise public awareness about student exchange Lead Host Family to website to complete the online application: www.iwanttohost.org Complete a Host Family in-home Interview and Check References Perform a Host Family Orientation before the student arrives Monthly Check in – call or visit the Host family and Student once a month and document online, check in with school each semester

Personal Requirements Must own a computer and have internet access Must have a genuine interest in working with teens and families Must be mature and able to remain objective Must be professional in appearance and also in manner Good counseling skills are very helpful in this job Must be critically perceptive and objective in working with potential host families Must be at least 25 years of age Should be well-networked in their community A sensitivity, understanding and passion for creating global understanding between cultures.
