Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of this position is to direct and manage foundry operations, production and employees. Customer satisfaction is a top priority, while managing the efficiency of automated and manual molding lines.

Principle Duties & Responsibilities:

• Plan, manage and evaluate the work of employees and work with Foundry Superintendent for resolution of employment performance, turnover and disciplinary issues.
• Establish and monitor overall shift performance for production and quality standards.
• Suggest and implement policies and procedures to improve production methods, equipment and operating procedures.
• Execute light to moderate repairs on equipment of all types and sizes; lead, train and coordinate the activities of other maintenance personnel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Ideal Candidate would be familiar with Greensand molding/casting. Kunkle Wagner squeeze head molding line; Hydraulic Sand Slinger heads to fill large flasks. Familiar with a Coke fired Cupola furnace and recognizing the raw materials needed to melt iron.
